Orthographic Projection Activity

Purpose

Develop the skill to draw three-dimensional objects in two dimensions and to understand three-dimensional form from elevations and top views. This is an in-class exercise.

Task

• Complete the orthographic drawing worksheet.
• Use three different line weights.
• Use the darkest line for surfaces and edges closest to the view.
• Use a medium line for surfaces and edges farther from the view.
• Use a light dashed line for hidden edges and planes.

Deliverable

Drawing sheets of each cubic form and its corresponding orthographic projections.
